The M3 shotgun, also known as the 'pump' shotgun from the Counter strike games, is the main one used as it is relatively cheap and has a good damage output. The standard shotgun does very little damage but damage upgrades are mainly put into shotguns because they have an amplified effect (same percentage) due to the ratio of damage. The first shotgun (standard 20) is for level 20+.
